Set up your HomePageCloud in 10 minutes
A clean, fast homepage with all your important links, on every computer and phone you use. Here's the quickest way to set it up.
The 10-minute setup
- Create your free account (1 min). Sign up and confirm your email. No ads, no tracking for advertising, free forever.
- Bring in your bookmarks (2 min). In Chrome or Edge, export your bookmarks and upload the file on the Import page. Or paste a list (see below). You review everything before it's added, duplicates are skipped, and you can undo with one click.
- Make a “Daily” section (1 min). Turn on ✎ Add & Edit, click + Section and call it Daily. Drag in the sites you open every morning: open a site, click and hold the icon left of
https://in the address bar, and drop it on the section (see how). - Tidy up (2 min). In Edit mode, drag tiles and sections into order. Drop one tile onto another to group them (for example several news sites under one “News” tile). Rename anything with ✎.
- Pick a look (30 s). View menu: theme (Snow, Metal, Shade, Navy, Slate, Chestnut, Hunter), layout (Tiles to start with, or Circles or Text list) and text size.
- Add your Grok Bots (1 min, optional). Edit → + Bot, then paste the bot's link from the Grok Bot app.
- Make it your homepage (1 min). Account menu (your initial) → Make this my browser homepage… gives step-by-step help for Chrome and Edge.
- Add the extension (about 2 min, recommended). Get the HomePageCloud extension for Chrome or Edge: its icon sits on your toolbar and one click saves the page you're on. No extension? Drag the ☁ Save button from the account menu to your bookmarks bar instead (how).
- Back up (30 s). Account menu → Backup my page → Download backup. Keep the file somewhere safe.
- Sign in on your phone (30 s). Same account, same homepage. Changes show up on your other devices right away.
Use Grok Bot to set up your page
Grok Bot can do the fiddly part for you. It writes a tidy list of your links, sorted into sections, and you paste that list into HomePageCloud's Import page. Grok Bot can't sign in to HomePageCloud or change your page itself, so nothing is added until you check the list and click Import.
- PromptCopy one from this page
- Grok BotWrites your list of links
- Paste a listOn the Import page: check it, then Import
How it works
- Pick a prompt below and click Copy.
- Open your Grok Bot, paste the prompt, and replace the [brackets] with your own details, for example your links or your job.
- Copy the bot's whole answer.
- Open Import → Paste a list. The Import bookmarks item in your account menu (your initial, top right) opens the same page. You need to be signed in.
- Paste the answer into the box and click Preview my list.
- Check the preview and click Import. Links you already have are skipped. Changed your mind? Undo import takes it all back with one click.
What the answer looks like
Grok Bot's answer
Work: GitHub - https://github.com - code reviews Work: Team calendar - https://calendar.google.com News: BBC News - https://www.bbc.com/news - world headlines
What you get on your page
Each line is Section: Title - address - note. The section is made for you if you don't have it yet, and the note (like “code reviews”) is saved with the link.
What “pasteable” means
Prompts marked pasteable ask Grok Bot for an answer you can paste straight into Import → Paste a list. Prompts without the mark give you advice, a plan or a reminder instead, which you follow by hand.
Prompts to copy
Copy a prompt, paste it into your own Grok Bot, and fill in the [brackets]. When you get a pasteable answer, paste it into Import → Paste a list on HomePageCloud.
Organize my links into sections
pasteableOrganize these links into 4 to 8 sections with short, clear names (like Work, Daily, Money, Shopping, Learning). Give each link a short title of 1 to 3 words. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional) My links: [paste your links here, one per line]
Turn a bookmarks export into a clean plan
pasteableBelow is a list of my bookmarks (title and address). Make it a clean homepage plan: drop duplicates and anything that looks outdated, merge similar folders, and put the rest into at most 10 sections. Put the links I'd use every day in a section called Daily. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional) My bookmarks: [paste the titles and addresses here]
Write short notes for my links
pasteableFor each link below, write a short note (at most 8 words) saying what I use it for, so I can tell similar links apart. Keep my section names and titles. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional) [paste your lines here, e.g. Work: Jira - https://example.atlassian.net]
Build my “Daily” section
pasteableHelp me build a Daily section of the sites I open every morning. Ask me up to 5 quick questions about my routine (news, weather, email, calendar, work tools). Then suggest 6 to 10 well-known sites, using their official addresses. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional) (use Daily as the section)
Separate work and personal
Suggest a homepage layout that separates work from personal life. Propose the sections (for example Work, Projects, Team, Personal, Money, Home) and give each one the layout that fits best: Tiles for sites I click often, Text list for long reading lists, Circles for shopping or social. Answer as a short plan I can follow by hand: section name, then layout, then one sentence on what goes there.
Add my Grok Bots as tiles
pasteableI'll paste my Grok Bots below with the links I copied from the Grok Bot app (they look like grokbot://app/v1/agent?id=...). Give each bot a short, friendly name based on what it does. Don't invent links: only use the ones I give you. Reply only with one line per bot in this format: Bots: Name - grokbot://app/v1/agent?id=THE-ID - what it does (optional) My bots: [paste each bot's name or purpose and its link]
A starter page for my job
pasteableI work as [your job, for example teacher, nurse, real-estate agent, student or small-business owner]. Suggest a starter homepage: 4 to 6 sections with 3 to 6 widely used, official websites in each. Use only addresses you're confident are real. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional)
Clean up duplicates and messy titles
pasteableClean up this list. Remove duplicate addresses, including ones that differ only by www, http vs https or a trailing slash. Shorten long page titles to 1 to 4 words, and remove tracking parts from addresses (anything like utm_ or fbclid). Keep my sections. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional) [paste your list here]
Split a big section into smaller ones
pasteableMy section “[section name]” has too many links. Split it into 3 to 5 smaller sections with clear names. Keep every link. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional) [paste the section's links here]
Short tile names
pasteableGive each of these links a tile name of at most 12 characters that I'll recognize at a glance, for example “Bank”, “Team chat” or “Q4 plan”. Reply only with one link per line in this format, with no other text: Section: Title - URL - short note (optional) [paste your links here]
Remind me to back up weekly
Every Sunday at 6 pm, remind me to back up my HomePageCloud page: open https://homepagecloud.com/backup and click “Download backup (.json)”, then save the file somewhere safe. Keep the reminder short.
Teach me HomePageCloud in 5 tips
I just started using HomePageCloud, a free personal homepage for links. Its How-to Guide is at https://homepagecloud.com/guide. Based on that guide, give me the 5 most useful things to do in my first week, as a short checklist.
Paste a list into HomePageCloud
Go to Import → Paste a list (or account menu → Import bookmarks, then Or paste a list), paste the bot's answer, and click Preview my list. Check the preview, then click Import. Each line becomes a link:
## Daily Gmail - https://mail.google.com Weather - https://weather.com News: BBC News - https://www.bbc.com/news - world headlines Work: GitHub - https://github.com Bots: Research - grokbot://app/v1/agent?id=research-01
Section: Title - URLputs the link in that section. The section is created if it doesn't exist, and links you already have are skipped.- A line like
## DailyorDaily:applies to the lines below it. Lines without a section go into “Pasted links”. - Text after the URL becomes the link's note. Markdown links
[Title](URL)and plain URLs work too. - Only web addresses, local file paths and Grok Bot links (
grokbot://app/v1/agent?id=…) are accepted. Anything else is skipped and reported in the preview.
